About Us
Without a doubt, the inspiration for Sassy Sistas Boutique can be attributed to the women in my life, my mother and her sisters (my aunts, five to be exact!). Growing up in a matriarchal family in southeast Texas with so many wonderful women to influence me has been a blessing. I have fond memories of prancing around in my mom's shoes, modeling my grandmother's church hats, and playing "dress up" in my aunt's closet. As a child, I loved to watch my mom as she prepared for an evening out, a Sunday afternoon tea or someother social gathering. And, as I grew older, the opportunity to see my mom, indeed she and all of the sisters, in any social social setting always with grace and poise was a sight to behold!
As for the name, "Sassy Sistas Boutique"... I believe the name speaks for itself. Oh, you know what I mean. It's that magical transformation that takes place when you take a long luxurious bath, dab on your favorite perfume, slip into that "perfect" dress, don those slammin' heels (that you got for a steal) with that clutch that just happens to match, your hair decides it's going to cooperate and your make-up is flawless. You walk over to the full length mirror (just to check to make certain that everything is in it's rightful place, and it is!) Now, don't you feel just a little sassy? Of course you do!
